Craig Ferguson interviews

I was just bored one early morning, and I searched for some videos to watch on YouTube. I started with Craig Ferguson’s monologues, and later watched his interviews on The Late Late Show. I may have been slow on these video clips, but they are as hilarious as ever.

This one is my favourite, him interviewing Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movie franchise.

“What do you mean the magic isn’t real?” LOL!

For the sake of it, here are another two clips for your Monday blues.

With Gerard Butler. Like the accent he put on about him and Craig were actually from Long Beach. I know it’s stupid, but I’m still amazed how actors can put on their accents and take it off so easily. LOL.

This one’s with Piper Perabo.

I love Craig Ferguson. He is hilarious.

Cali bah ia ani, sakit parut ku ketawa!

UB’s second season rumours

I am such a freak. I have been reading up on season two of Ugly Betty. Well, rumours of the new season anyway. Nyeh.

So don’t read the rest of it if you are uninterested or you don’t want to know yet.

I read, here, that there’s going to be a new love interest for Betty other than Henry. And he’s going to be played by Freddy Rodriguez! Here’s a snippet:

And what of the ill-fated love birds Betty and Henry? In one of the final scenes, he was headed to Arizona, along with his evil, possibly pregnant, girlfriend Charlie. “Well, there is a pretty good chance that Henry comes back,” revealed Christopher Gorham, his portrayer.

“I can’t tell you how he comes back. I can tell you that you cannot miss the first five minutes of the first episode of season two. It’s one of the funniest scenes that we have shot to date. It’s a Betty, Henry, Charlie scene. It’s subtitled. It’s really incredible.”

I am totally interested about the first five minutes now. LOL. Subtitled? I imagine it to be in nerd/dork language that certain nerds like me won’t understand, let alone the rest of the world? Haha, okay, that might not even be possible. But I’m excited!

Someone’s promised to burn it onto CDs for me as soon as it comes out, so yeay!

Unfortunately, there is a definite possibility that Santos is dead. Something about the guy who plays him, Kevin Alejandro, is on a totally different network now. Pity. He was starting to grow on me, what with him wanting to marry Hilda and doesn’t care how his son couldn’t even throw a football.

I might just overdid it with the consumption of my favourite seasonal fruit, durian kuning. Currently having a hard time swallowing. IT HURTS. What do they call that anyway? I just know the one in Malay, they call it sakit menalan. Any ideas?

Should head to bed now, going to visit dad tomorrow. I haven’t visited in what feels like ages. I really miss him.

Comments will be replied to soon! :D

New eye candy!

Christopher Gorham (who plays Henry in Ugly Betty) is hot! And funny!

Though he’s married for seven years and have two kids.

My take on Ugly Betty

Ugly Betty didn’t spark any interest of mine when it first came out. I’m always late to jump on the bandwagon, because I prefer to have the whole season out on DVD so I don’t have to wait every week for a new episode. Okay, I’m not always like that, but I was with Ugly Betty because I couldn’t be bothered.

But.. One glorious day, which usually falls on the day that pay is out, I wasn’t particularly spoiled for choice when I paid a visit to Joey Joe, my favourite DVD store. I spotted the complete first season of Ugly Betty, and I thought, “Hm, why not?” So I did.

And I only finished watching Ugly Betty’s yesterday.

September 27th can’t come any sooner! Second season airs on that date, and trust me, I’ll be braving the Trojan viruses this time around just to see what happens in the first episode. By that, I meant downloading torrents, of course. But I’m going to ask around first before I start this bad habit again. ;)

(Warning: Either hate me for posting them up, or stop reading from this point on. Ugly Betty spoilers ahead.)

So, all right.. I’ve never had favourite episodes before on any TV series, but on Ugly Betty, I fell in love with episode 21, Secretaries’ Day. I have to say it’s mostly influenced by Henry Grubstick. Don’t you think he and Betty are adorable?!

Image above was a scene from Secretaries’ Day. When he was semi-conscious, saying the three little words. I practically shrieked when he did that! Romance on TV and in the movies, in my opinion, rarely warm the heart anymore because it seems like they are.. I don’t know, nothing new.

But when Henry, played by Christopher Gorham — trust me, this isn’t the last time his (character/real) name will be mentioned on this post, said those words, he seemed so sincere albeit semi-conscious.

Another favourite episode of mine is the season finale, 23rd episode, East Side Story. The goodbye made by Henry to Betty when he decided to move with Charlie back to Tucson! I CRIED! This season finale has to be THE season finale of all season finales of TV!

This is my second favourite scene, where Betty confessed in the copier room.

Awwww! Cute, dorky and sweet all at the same time!

And my most favourite, where Henry said goodbye (which, hopefully doesn’t get taken down), from the scene that I so wished didn’t happen, but did, but in the end was one of the things that made the finale great.

I was so sad he was leaving! Responsible, yes, but still sad! For Betty. They were just perfect for each other! Then again, like Betty said, “.. it would’ve been too easy..”

So then, based on my obsession with the Betty-Henry relationship, I made a little research on the good ‘ol Internet, and found out from here that from season two onwards Christopher Gorham (Henry) will become core regulars in the show. YEAY! Which means, it’s not really goodbye.

By the way, here’s Christopher, who plays the most adorable geek that is Henry.

“It’s just something I know.”

If I had to rate this TV show, based on this one season, I would give it five stars out of five! Love it. Don’t care what you think, I LOVE IT.

Okay, you know what? I’m going to throw in another video that make me fall in love with Henry (the character and the guy playing him!)

Sigh.. :))

Tiredness!

I have gained weight. Okay, no, that’s just saying it in a nice way. I AM GETTING FAT. Like, seriously. Not in a way that I’m being insecure or anything. I have increased in volume! Or mass? No, I think it’s volume. Anyway. I had a bit of a hard time to zip up the kain of my baju kurong for the past three days.

Yea, baju kurong for the scheduled events for my cousin’s wedding. His bersanding ceremony was today — lost track of time, it might have already been noon — and it was mighty hot! I don’t sweat in the normal heat that we get in Brunei, but today, I was sweating profusely! The lining of my top ended up sticking to my skin. Bleurgh. Not a comfortable feeling, I can tell you that.

Saw a couple of my friends, Salwana, who was related to the bride (we’re now related through marriage!), Ratz, and Dhil’s parents (Dhil, wanted to tegur and say hi to your mom, but she was busy talking to someone.)

I have pictures, but I left my camera downstairs and I’m too knackered to even get off this chair. Yes, I’m not even planning on walking to bed to take a short nap because I’m that tired. I think it was the heat that did it, really. I could’ve handled the exhaustion well without it. Maybe with a little cool breeze and some clouds. But these two were missing in action. Pfft.

I’m off, I will post the pictures soon. (And abang Muhaimin, the groom, looked so happy today! :))

Also, CONGRATULATIONS TO THE COUPLE!! (Semoga berkekalan hingga ke anak cucu!)

(On a very different note, if you’re interested, have a listen to Feelings Show by Colbie Caillat. I’m loving the “Love is crazy, pretty baby. Take it real slow.” bit. Nice. Go download. [Or, ahem, buy her album.])

HUGS!

Before I start the post, I would like to convey my deepest condolences to Izzah, Ka Zian and Ka Ety, for their recent loss of their beloved aunt who passed away yesterday. Keep your chins up, she is in a better place, inshaAllah. Al-Fatihah.

______________________________________________

I wanted to update yesterday, but my hands were a tad busy since my cousin’s bride is having a berbedak ceremony after my outing with the girls. (Tonight is his turn, by the way.)

Hamizah, Yusrina, Zawanah, and I, had lunch at Fusion, at The Mall in Gadong, and it was quite good. Not a good idea if you’re on a tight budget, but its serving proportion is quite satisfying for such a price. I had the stuffed chicken with mashed potatoes. And the drinks! The glasses they used were large. I had expected a small amount of apple tea, like how they serve drinks in Sanur. Seriously. I don’t know if Sanur had changed their set of drinking glasses, but I hope they have! (Compared to Fusion’s, Sanur’s glasses are of minuscule proportions!)

Then we met up with Amal, Tiq, Ratna, and their guy cousin (whose name I had forgotten) to watch My Wife Is A Gangster 3. That movie was FUN-NEE! It was slapstick, it was sarcastic, it was.. I don’t know, everything that rhymes with stick? I loved it, though I missed some parts because of a toilet break and all, and sometimes the subtitles skip and whatnot.

Go watch it, if you’ve watched everything else at the movies, or you just don’t want to watch them. I mean, for me, I definitely do NOT want to watch Love Is Cinta. Heart was enough to make me cry, and not in a very-tear-jerking-movie way, it’s in a horrid I-am-bored-to-tears way.

Had fun, as always, it kind of feels that the group is back together, as most of the girls are done with their degrees and they’re back for good. Congratulations to the new Biology and Combined Science teacher, Miss Yusrina! :D The rest of us is waiting for that big belanja in December! *cough*BONUS*cough* Teehee. And good luck to Miss Saleha for her quest to continue on her studies! You can do it! :)

Anyway, I’ll sign off with a big, colossal hug for Miss Izzah, who was missing from all the things happening. Feel better, sweetheart. *HUGS*

Sorry. Some might be annoyed by online/virtual hugs, but for a person like me, who’s been (and still is!) in a long-distance relationship for more than 3-4 years, I depend on virtual hugs. And I like giving them too. I’m not a hugger in real life, so virtual hugs are, [bimbo mode] like, the next best thing. [/bimbo mode] :D

Try, “I don’t care.”

Oh, so my post on one of my blonde moments attracted people to leave comments, eh? Feel that it’s hilarious, eh? *glares*

I’m kidding. I found it stupidly funny too. LOL!

I went to a CIS20 gathering this morning over at Soto Rindu place in Sengkurong. Was late, but it was great to see my friends again. Hopefully, we’ll be as close as we always have been. It’s funny how nearly everyone’s working already! Scary. When are the CIS20 couples going to get hitched, though? (Heehee.)

I’ve been up to no good recently. Pay’s out, and I’ve been splurging on DVDs and clothes. I bought Zodiac, 28 Weeks Later, Perfect Stranger, Pan’s Labyrinth, Captivity, and TMNT.

How do I put this? It’s crazy. With the exception of Perfect Stranger because I haven’t watched it, I thought I would have at least liked ONE of these movies. (Movies watched are not in order, and were not watched in one go.)

28 Weeks Later was just good in the movies, as it wasn’t as good on DVD. Pan’s Labyrinth was TOO long, and the story wasn’t much to begin with. (Nearly 3 hours, as it says on the box.) Captivity was all right, but we had to watch it on a nearly broken DVD player in Liz’s room, and we totally missed out on the ending. Please don’t let me start on TMNT. It had nothing going on to interest me to keep it playing in the DVD player. I bailed out barely 30 minutes into the movie.

As for Zodiac, didn’t finish this one either. It didn’t interest me enough to stay until the end. Opted to have Italian at Capers instead. I went with Liz, Siti, and Qil. When we were done, we went to Hua Ho Tanjung Bunut to get Liz’s ring at Mythos Collection — correct me if I’m wrong.

I was fine during all this, but when I got back to Liz’s house, I had the most painful headache ever. I even let my mom drive us back home, it was that bad! (I will always drive my family everywhere, if I can help it. No one says no to me. No one. I. DRIVE. But not last night. Ugh.)

I digressed! THE MOVIES WERE ALL BAAAAAAAAAAD. So much for watching DVDs with your cousins, and having an ultimately great time. Roight. Maybe I’ll scout around Brunei for a good-quality copy of Hostel.

Oh, this reminds me, I watched Vacancy with Amalina and Zawanah, and we had a blast! Funny thing was when the trailers were playing, Amalina thought we’d be watching My Wife Is A Gangster 3! Haha. And she wondered why the trailers were of thriller/horror movies. LOL. It was good, as we were the only 3 watching the movie in broad daylight, thus avoided whispering, and had fun shrieking our heads off. Well, my head anyway. I liked it, but, just like 28 Weeks Later, I might just like it in the cinemas.

Oh, let’s talk about something else, shall we? I’ve been having this really weird feeling about a friend lately. I don’t even know if s/he is a friend to me anymore. All singled out, and everything. Hm. Is it because of the recent tragedy in my life that s/he doesn’t know how to approach me anymore? I am no good with confrontations and I avoid it at all costs.

So this may, or may not, be about you. (BOH DOI.) Seriously, though, I don’t know what to do about it. I’m not even sad that it’s happening, it just feels like split ends: it does not hurt you, but you just want to get rid of it. Badly.

I’m off to sleep. No longer a nocturnal creature, neither am I an insomniac, thanks to my best friend in the whole wide world! Love ya! :)
